Use Anonymous View for anything sensitive, not just sketchy sites. You don’t have to be browsing something secret to benefit. Use it for banking pages, health research, or even just shopping sites you don’t want following you with ads for the next month. Just know that some interactive forms and login pages won’t work perfectly through the proxy — it’s a tradeoff for the extra privacy.
Set your search preferences first, don’t skip it. Jump into settings and pick your default region, language, and safe search level right away. These settings save locally on your device, not on Startpage’s servers, so you get consistent results without giving up any personal info.
Don’t sleep on the Zap button. Instead of manually closing tabs or clearing history every time you’re done, just hit Zap and you’re done. It’s a tiny feature but it makes privacy feel effortless instead of a chore.
