onx offroad APK (Latest Version v26.22.1) for Android

26.22.1 Android 8.0+

Editor's Review

Regular GPS apps are basically useless once you leave the pavement. onX Offroad fills that gap entirely. I used it to scout a dispersed camping spot in a National Forest, and the offline maps kept me on track even without cell service. The property boundary overlay prevented me from accidentally wandering onto private land. I also tracked my group's location in real time using the sharing feature, which removed the usual 'where are you?' texts.

onx offroad Tips

Download your offline map before you leave cell service. Pick your ride area, choose your detail level, and save it at home. Don’t wait until you’re halfway to the trailhead — spotty service will make the download drag or fail entirely.

Set your vehicle filter first thing. It cuts out all trails that don’t fit your rig, so you don’t accidentally plan a route that’s too narrow or too technical for your setup.

Drop a waypoint at your parking spot as soon as you arrive. It sounds obvious, but trailheads all look the same after a few hours of riding, and a single tap saves you from wandering around looking for your truck at the end of the day.

Use the Discover tab to find nearby routes when you’re in a new area. It pulls up all featured trails within range with difficulty scores and user reports, so you can pick something that matches your skill level without guessing.

All in all, it’s not a replacement for regular road navigation apps, and it doesn’t try to be. It’s a purpose-built off-road tool that nails every core feature you actually need on the trail. For anyone who explores remote trails regularly, it’s one of the most reliable planning and safety tools you can have on your phone.
